Tel Aviv Medical Center – Ichilov Hospital

(The Ted Arison Inpatient Building)
Tel Aviv
1997-2002
Developer: Ichilov Hospital
69,500 square meters

The Ted Arison Inpatient Building is the main building of the Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.
The building, which has 12 floors and a heliport on the roof, was designed and constructed on an existing building that had four floors above ground and three floors below ground.
The building comprises inpatient floors with a wide range of advanced hospital wards, including surgical, internal medicine and other specialties.
There is an extensive medical library on its upper floors overlooking the urban landscape of the city of Tel Aviv.
The construction process was complex as the hospital’s main thoroughfares had to be kept open, especially the road giving access to the central ER unit of the hospital, located in the existing building.
