Building Conservation The First International Bank of Israel

Tel Aviv
Developer: The First International Bank of Israel

Two landmark buildings adjacent to the Banks new headquarters building were restored as part of the new build. One of the buildings had previously served as a local community hall and the other as the residence of the Grinwalds, one of the wealthiest families in the country. Both were fully restored and all the original interior architectural detail conserved. They were also reinforced to allow the construction of underground parking.

The project won first prize in 2011 in the Building for Conservation category of the Association of National Builders Excellence in Construction and Infrastructure Award.
