Shikun & Binui Solaria is a subsidiary of Shikun & Binui Renewable Energy, the ecological division of Shikun & Binui Group (part of the Arison Group). Shikun & Binui Renewable Energy is active in a wide range of ecological projects in Israel and abroad, including water and sewage, recycling and clean energy production. The company is the only private municipal water and sewage operator in Israel and, among other projects, is also involved in the planning, setup and operation of a large 13 MW solar farm in Spain. Photovoltaic Solar Energy System

Our Photovoltaic Solar Energy System enables households and businesses to produce clean electricity for self use while decreasing negative environmental affects.
Our Photovoltaic Solar Energy Systems are highly reliable and can last up to 30 years in extreme weather conditions.
The space required for installing the system is 10 square meters for every 1 KW. The systems can be installed on roofing tiles or on flat concrete roofs. On flat roofs the system are mounted on a special construction with the panels facing south. The angle of the panels will be determined according to the geographical area and special attention is given to prevent shading from trees or other buildings.
Once the system is installed, the Electric Corporation installs a separate meter to measure the amount of electricity passing through the “production meter” for accounting purposes.

 

Photovoltaic Modules

A Photovoltaic Module is made up of numerous Solar Cells which are the units used to convert energy directly from the sun to electricity. A single cell can deliver enough electricity to power a small device such as an emergency phone, but in order to power a house, many cells must be electrically connected to form Photovoltaic Modules and multiple modules are arranged as arrays.

Inverters

The inverters are part of the Photovoltaic Solar System that converts Direct Current (DC) to Alternating Current (AC) and converts the 120 V current to 220 V in order for it to correspond to the Israeli electric grid.

Supplementary Products

Accompanying products enable real-time monitoring of electricity production and full control over the inverters connected to the Photovoltaic Solar Energy System.

According to an international statistical survey, on average, there are 1615 hours of sunlight in Israel. These are only peak UV radiation hours, not total daylight hours.
A commercial Photovoltaic Solar Energy System can yield a 9%-13% yearly profit for the owner of the system, with no maintenance costs (except for solar panel cleaning). Return on investment can be achieved within less than 10 years. And in addition, systems of up to 4 KW are not taxable.
Once the Photovoltaic Solar Energy System is installed, the Electric Corporation installs a separate meter that monitors the total electricity generated by the system, for accounting purposes.
As part of the international incentive to promote energy production from renewable sources, the Israeli Government subsidizes the electricity rates produced by Photovoltaic Solar Energy technology that is transferred to the national electricity grid.
