Our company's projects are based on renewable energy (Solar, wind power, and hydro energy). Hence, our projects are sustainable ones, contributing to both the local and global challenges that are placed by the world's growing demand for natural resources and by climate change. Yet, this is not enough for us, and we go beyond.

We are aware that the company's projects impact the communities and natural environment in the vicinity of each project. This propels us to ensure that in any venture we undertake, advance, and operate, we will do all that is in our power to reduce the adverse impacts, while also maximizing the social benefits that we can grant. We do this through our environment management programs, and our monitoring and control of the environmental impact that is created by launching and operating a project. Moreover, we share information with stakeholders, and promote initiatives and collaborations with the communities in the area, placing much emphasis on advancing the values of sustainability and renewable energy.

The Ashalim thermo-solar power plant

The Ashalim thermo-solar power plant is located in the Negev Desert, in the south of Israel. The company has a 50% stake in the Special Purpose Company (SPC) established for the project.
The thermo-solar power plant is an environmentally friendly renewable energy project that serves as an important milestone in promoting Israels national target of generating 10% of its power from renewable energy sources by 2020. The project is a forerunner of sustainability implementation in infrastructure projects of similar a scale in Israel. It has been designed and constructed, and will be operated, according to strict international standards concerning environmental protection, stakeholder engagement, workers rights, and biodiversity conservation. Careful attention to sustainability principles is evident in all stages of the project - from the development of its sustainability policy, through the preparation of detailed construction plans, work procedures, and ongoing training on these issues, to quality assurance and reporting.
These principles reflect our vision to promote clean and renewable energy in Israel and around the world, thus making a significant contribution to the environment and maximizing value for our stakeholders.
